Dear White America…

This year, the CYPB Annual Planning Meeting kicked off with a special dinner and conversation with anti-racist educator, author, and activist Tim Wise at the newly renovated New Orleans African American Museum (NOAAM). Tim Wise set the stage for our work together the following day — where we would set CYPB’s direction for 2020 — by charging us to be bold in challenging, disrupting, and changing systemic inequities.

Special thanks to NOAAM Executive Director and Chief Curator Curator Gia Hamilton for opening up the gallery space and hosting this conversation in the museum; Karen’s Kitchen for serving up a delicious meal; Bright Moments for coordinating a streamline evening ; and Capture Studio for documenting the energy of the evening.
