Thinking Bigger & Planning Better – 2019 New Orleans Summit on Compassion & Resilience

In August 2018, the New Orleans City Council charged the CYPB Childhood Trauma Task Force with the task of crafting a plan with recommendations informing how New Orleans could become a Trauma-Informed City.

On June 12, 2019, the CYPB Childhood Trauma Task Force hosted the first New Orleans Summit On Compassion & Resilience: Becoming a Trauma-Informed City. Over 140 cross-sector stakeholders participated in the day-long convening to ensure big thinking and better planning for the steps it may take to be a City of greater compassion and resilience.
